JUVÉDERM® XC and JUVÉDERM® Ultra Plus XC®

JUVÉDERM XC is designed to restore the youthful skin that has been diminished by age and other skin changes. This smooth consistency gel made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to add volume and hydration. JUVÉDERM XC is manufactured using HYLACROSS™ technology, creating a smooth-consistency gel. It is infused with lidocaine to improve comfort during treatment. JUVÉDERM XC provides a smooth, natural, noticeable look and feel. The most common areas where JUVÉDERM XC is used are the smile lines, marionette lines, and vertical lines. It is FDA-approved to last up to one year.

When comparing Juvederm Ultra XC to Juvederm Ultra Plus XC, both are used for the treatment of facial lines and wrinkles, but Juvederm Ultra Plus XC is a thicker, more viscous substance than Juvederm Ultra XC. Therefore, Ultra Plus XC can provide more dramatic results in areas with deeper lines and hollows in the skin. Juvederm Ultra XC is more appropriate for superficial locations and finer lines and wrinkles. Dr. Logani can talk with you about the best choice for your specific needs.

• Restylane-L® (with lidocaine) 

For mid-to-deep injection into the facial tissue for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds. Restylane-L® is also indicated for injection into the lips.
